(A-D) Math5-lineage cone photoreceptors marked by RXRγ (arrows in A and B) are increased in number but the rod photoreceptors labeled by rhodopsin (arrows in C and D) are reduced in number in Math5-null retinas. (E-H) Among the Math5-lineage cells, BHLHB5+ (E, F) and GAD65+ (G, H) GABAergic amacrine cells (arrows) are reduced in number in the INL but are increased in the GCL of Math5-null retinas.
