HA diminishes proliferation without altering cell death in VM. (A) Proliferation was assessed by staining with the mitotic marker pHH3 in coronal sections of the ventral midbrain from E14 vehicle- and HA-injected embryos. HA-injected embryos had significantly less pHH3+ cells when compared to vehicle-injected embryos. Nuclei were stained with Hoechst. *p < 0.05.
