Inhibition of TREM2 facilitates the inflammation induced by ischemia in MCAO mice. MCAO mice were injected with TREM2 siRNA or control siRNA. Tissue homogenates from ischemic cerebral hemisphere (ischemic core and penumbra) of 7 days mice after MCAO under the indicated treatments were subjected to (a) quantitative real-time PCR with primers of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-10 or (b) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays for TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-10.
