Bdl interacts with Tutl in trans in cultured cells. a Bdl-RFP-transfected S2 cells (red) formed large cell aggregates with each other, but not with cells transfected with a GFP construct (green). b Bdl-RFP-transfected S2 cells (red) formed large co-aggregates with cells transfected with a Tutl-GFP construct (green). c Among total cell aggregates (>20 cells), the percentage of cell co-aggregates were quantified. A cell co-aggregate is defined as a cell aggregate (>20 cells) in which the percentage of each cell population (i.e. GFP- or RFP-positive cells) should be at least 15%.
