  1. Dox-treated Gad1+/+ (n = 10) and Gad1tTA/STOP−tetO (n = 9) mice were used to determine the brain contents of GABA and glutamate. Data represent the mean ± SE. % Reduction was calculated by 100 − [(the mean value of Gad1tTA/STOP−tetO mice)/(the mean value of Gad1+/+ mice)] × 100. A p value less than 0.05 was considered a significant difference (Student’s t-test)
