Assessment of CO2 inhalation and retrieval-activated Ca2+-dependent protein kinases using Kinome assay. a Schematic of experimental procedure of aversive conditioning (Av. C.), memory retrieval (Ret) and CO2 inhalation, as described previously. Ten minutes later, brain slices were prepared using a brain matrix, and amygdala isolated by a biopsy punch. Whole tissues were subjected to kinome analysis. b A heatmap with hierarchical unsupervised clustering representing relative signal intensities of differentially phosphorylated peptides between memory retrieval and retrieval plus CO2 samples.
