  1. Amplified ACKR3-Venus expression was mapped throughout the adult (P56) Ackr3Venus/Venus mouse brain. If ACKR3-Venus expression was not observed in a region or was not observed at the same expression level consistently across animals (n = 4), the region was not included in this table. Expression in Ackr3Venus/Venus (n = 4) were compared to negligible background staining observed in Ackr3WT/WT (n = 4) (Additional file 1: Figure S8). The brain regions included in this table are derived from The Mouse Brain in Stereotaxic Coordinates, Paxinos and Franklin, Second Edition, 2001. The expression of ACKR3-Venus across brain regions is ranked as follows: low (+), moderate (+ +), high (+ + +), very high (+ + + +) expression. This analysis was qualitative, and no statistical analysis has been done
