Dysregulation in the number of PV and SST neurons in CTCF-cKO mice. A, C, D CTCF-cKO mice exhibit decline in the number of PV neurons in the prelimbic prefrontal cortex and the hippocampal CA2-CA3 and DG of 11 weeks old (*p = 0.012, 0.015, **p = 0.009) (C) and 2 weeks old (***p = \({1.308}^{-7}, {2.43}^{-5}, *p=0.01)\) (D) mice. Furthermore, (B, C, D) CTCF-cKO mice exhibit increase in the number of SST neurons particularly in the hippocampus of 11 weeks old (*p = 0.015) (C) and 2 weeks old (***p = 0.0001, **p = 0.007) (D) mice.
